ISDE 2010: MEXICO

The International Six Days Enduro was held in Morelia Mexico for the 85th running of the event. The local Motorcycle Federation overcame many logistical and political obstacles to stage this exceptional event. Team USA fielded a very strong World Trophy, Junior Trophy and Women’s Trophy team. With the event just south of the border for US riders, the interest in riding in Mexico was high, but no one knew what to expect. Recent drug gang unrest added to the tension building for this event. Mexico saw 350 riders start the tough six day event. In the ISDE, riders have to stay on a rally-like schedule, put in fast times on special tests, and do all their own maintenance. The rules are quite complex and the event is unlike any other race. The crew from IGINTION3 captured the action of this demanding race and the thoughts of the riders. The action is non-stop as the best in the world ride hundreds of miles a day, keeping to a tough time schedule, and then have to ride 5 to 8 “special tests” against the clock for precious seconds and actually 100th of a second increments. This DVD is dedicated to the memory of Nathan Woods who was a big part of the USA Trophy effort, and who succumbed to injuries in a practice accident back home just weeks after the ISDE. Nathan leaves a big hole in the ISDE family….we miss him.
